FIRST UK approached Oodles Creative to develop a suite of community-focused brand identities that would celebrate and recognise the organisations, volunteers and ambassadors helping to inspire young people through robotics and STEM education. This included branding for Champion Orgs, Game Changers, Youth Ambassadors and Alumni, each requiring its own distinct identity while remaining connected to the wider FIRST UK mission.
Through strategic branding and creative design, we developed a cohesive family of brands that celebrates achievement, contribution and community, helping individuals and organisations proudly showcase their involvement in supporting the charity's work.


Designing a Brand That Celebrates Community and Achievement
FIRST UK needed more than a collection of logos. They required a recognisable identity system that would unite multiple groups within their community while recognising the unique role each plays in supporting the organisation's mission.
The challenge was to create a family of brands that felt connected to the wider FIRST UK ecosystem while giving each community its own personality and sense of purpose. Every identity needed to inspire pride, foster belonging and feel like a badge of honour for the organisations, volunteers and ambassadors who earned that recognition. At the same time, the system needed to reflect the energy, collaboration and impact at the heart of the FIRST UK community.



Building a Badge of Honour for the More Than Robots Community
Drawing inspiration from FIRST UK's mission and existing brand assets, we created a series of shield-style identities designed to symbolise recognition, achievement and belonging. Incorporating elements of the "More Than Robots" message, each identity was developed to seamlessly connect with the wider FIRST UK brand while establishing a distinctive presence of its own.
To support the identities, we developed a vibrant colour palette, custom graphic elements and a collection of patterns inspired by teamwork, growth and community. Together, these assets create a flexible visual toolkit that can be applied consistently across communications, events and promotional materials, strengthening connections across the wider FIRST UK network while allowing each community to stand proudly in its own right.
